How to Hear God: A Guide for Young Explorers

An in-depth and practical guide to learning to hear God’s voice today.

About This Book

The follow up to Pete Greig’s How To Pray is a practical and encouraging guide to the other side of the prayer conversation: how to hear what God might be saying in response to the prayers we pray.

Centered on the story of the disciples who encountered Jesus on the road to Emmaus, Pete uses his characteristic accessible and practical style to unpack the many ways that God speaks to us today.

There are two parts in Pete’s new book, this second simple guide for normal people. The first section of the book explores God’s Word, exploring the ways that the Bible can speak to us, and the second half focuses on God’s Whisper, what God really sounds like today.

How to Hear God is perfect for individuals who want to explore the different ways of learning to hear God’s voice, communities who want to grow together, and anyone who is looking for an easy-to-understand guide to this often-confusing area of faith.

About the Author

Pete Greig is the bewildered founder of the 24-7 Prayer movement in more than 100 countries. He is also the Senior Pastor of Emmaus Rd church, the leader of Waverley Abbey, and an award-winning author of 8 books available in many languages.

He and his wife Sammy are proud parents to two adult sons and members of The Order of the Mustard Seed (OMS). They split their time between a barge on the River Wey near Guildford, England, and a cliff top retreat on the Isle of Wight where they host and mentor leaders. Pete is an Ambassador for the NGO Tearfund, a visiting lecturer for St Mellitus Theological College and one of the founding conveners of the Wildfires festival.
